Bornheim

Bornheim, nicknamed das lustige Dorf (the merry village), is one of Frankfurts most genuinely communal neighbourhoods. The atmosphere is sociable and unpretentious, a place where neighbours know the baker by name. The district draws creative-industry workers and an increasing number of families who value the cafe culture, strong transit links and the large, family-friendly Guenthersburgpark on its northern edge. Ownership patterns are more balanced than in the prime western districts, and purchase prices have not fully caught up with rental demand, which keeps Bornheim attractive to investors seeking stable long-term tenants. It feels established and warm rather than aspirational.
