District 1 is Saigon distilled to its essence — the chaos, the charm, and the relentless forward momentum of Vietnam's economic engine. The Dong Khoi corridor, once colonial Rue Catinat, is now a luxury shopping strip flanked by five-star hotels and French-era landmarks. A few blocks away, the frenetic energy of Ben Thanh Market gives way to quiet alleyways hiding century-old temples and some of the best street food in Asia. For investors, District 1 represents Vietnam's trophy asset class. Per-square-meter prices rival Bangkok's prime districts but with stronger growth fundamentals.
