Living in Centro Histórico means stepping into Málaga's living museum, cobbled lanes opening onto the Cathedral, the Alcazaba glowing above the rooftops, and the marble sweep of Calle Larios alive day and night. Tapas at El Pimpi, the Picasso Museum, the Atarazanas market and the port promenade are all minutes away. Just west across the Guadalmedina, Soho trades grandeur for grit-turned-cool: giant murals, the CAC, design studios and cocktail bars. It's the most exciting place to live in the city, and the most in-demand, though buyers should weigh tourism intensity and the new short-term-rental clampdown.
